For the 'Mr. Holmes' promotional website, I picked evocative stills from the film to serve as the site's backdrop, aiming to encapsulate the essence of the story and its characters. On desktop I created a 'split screen' design, lending each page a more expansive and layered atmosphere. When it came to the mobile layout, I maintained a true single-column design but deliberately contracted the content width. This adjustment provided just enough space for glimpses of the compelling background imagery to shine through, thus enriching the mobile user experience.
